Paragliding Festival – Linhares 2024 – Open

The Club, in partnership with the Municipality of Celorico da Beira and with the support of the good people of Linhares da Beira, will organize the Linhares International Paragliding Festival 2024 – Paragliding Open – between the 14th and 18th of August 2024.

The Festival will feature:

  • An XC – FAI Cat.2 race recognized by the Portuguese Free Flight Federation (FPVL) the “Sacadura Cabral Cup”.
  • A B race – a friendly local competition to promote the initiation of new pilots – the “Linhares da Beira Cup”.
  • Leisure Flights
  • The Club will also promote activities to introduce free flying (tandem flights) – Come Fly with Us!

The Linhares Festival aims to promote the “Paragliding Cathedral” as a place for exceptional flying and paragliding in its different aspects: competitive and leisure.

Serra da Estrela Paragliding Open

Clube Vertical, with the support of the Municipality of Manteigas, the Municipality of Celorico da Beira and the Parishes of Sameiro, Vale de Amoreira and Linhares da Beira, hosted the Serra da Estrela Paragliding Open.

This event was an FAI Cat.2 competition, and coincided with the second and last stage of the Portuguese National Paragliding Championship, under the seal of the Portuguese Free Flight Federation (FPVL).

The Serra da Estrela Paragliding Open intended to promote the Serra da Estrela region as a whole, valuing our flight area.
